The Foundation in Printmaking

If you are looking for a longer, more in-depth printmaking course, our Foundation in Printmaking Course may be just the thing. From September we are offering a daytime and evening course. We do currently have a limited number of spaces available on this course. For more information about The Foundation in Printmaking course visit the Foundation and Diploma page.

The Diploma in Printmaking

This is the next level course after The Foundation in Printmaking. Students need to have completed the Foundation course to attend this course. The course will revisit and build upon some of the techniques covered on The Foundation in Printmaking and in addition will cover Woodcuts and Sugar Lift techniques within Etching. Learn how to develop your ideas into a two colour lino block repeat pattern and print your design onto lengths of fabric and a cushion cover.

We are delighted to welcome Ali Yanya back to the workshop to teach a Masterclass in Mezzotint. This is a perfect medium for reproducing dramatic light effects and contrasts in your imagery. 1 2 1 tuition

We offer 1 2 1 tuition for individuals who require a focused session on a particular printmaking technique. In recent years we have worked with trainee teachers, tutors working in further and higher education and members of the public who are unable to attend our scheduled courses.
1 2 1 sessions can be booked on any day convenient to you when we do not have a scheduled course running. Contact us for prices and to discuss this further or to book 1 2 1 tuition.

Beginners and Improvers course

An Introduction and Improver course all in one which covers Cardcuts, Drypoint, Etching, Linocutting and Monoprint. This very popular course is a great way to learn all the basics of these techniques. You will also become familiar with working in a print workshop and with using printmaking equipment and presses.
