We offer a broad range of scheduled courses and cater for complete beginners as well as those who want to refine their skills. We have one day taster sessions in a single printmaking technique, weekend courses, Masterclasses and longer, advanced courses.

We are beginning to take expressions of interest from people who are interested in joining our Foundation in Printmaking courses in September. You should be able to find all the information you need about the course by visiting the Foundation and Diploma page.

The Diploma in Printmaking.

This is the next level course after The Foundation in Printmaking. Students need to have completed the Foundation course to attend this course. The course will revisit and build upon some of the techniques covered on The Foundation in Printmaking and in addition will cover Woodcuts and Sugar Lift techniques within Etching. Two Colour Woodcut Day - Fully Booked

Saturday 14th March 10am - 4:30pm - £75

Woodcut is an exciting relief printing medium that gives you bold, expressive prints. On this one day workshop you will produce a two colour print using Japanese side grain wood.

Letterpress Weekend - Working with the Adana Press

An Adana press is the perfect tabletop press: ideal for printing cards, invitations or small poems. Spend the weekend getting to grips with moveable lead type and learning to love the Adana!

Screenprint Weekend

Create a selection of screen printed images, using paper stencils to create bold, graphic backgrounds and a hand drawn stencil for your final colour to add detail to your image.

1 2 1 tuition

We offer 1 2 1 tuition for individuals who require a focused session on a particular printmaking technique. In recent years we have worked with trainee teachers, tutors working in further and higher education and members of the public who are unable to attend our scheduled courses.
1 2 1 sessions can be booked on any day convenient to you when we do not have a scheduled course running. Contact us for prices and to discuss this further or to book 1 2 1 tuition.

Etching of a house with trees

Beginners and Improvers course - Fully Booked

An Introduction and Improver course all in one which covers Cardcuts, Drypoint, Etching, Linocutting and Monoprint. This very popular course is a great way to learn all the basics of these techniques. You will also become familiar with working in a print workshop and with using printmaking equipment and presses.
