We offer a broad range of scheduled courses and cater for complete beginners as well as those who want to refine their skills. We have one day taster sessions in a single printmaking technique, weekend courses, Masterclasses and longer, advanced courses.

The Diploma in Printmaking - Just one space left.

This is the next level course after The Foundation in Printmaking. Students need to have completed the Foundation course to attend this course. The course will revisit and build upon some of the techniques covered on The Foundation in Printmaking and in addition will cover Woodcuts and Sugar Lift techniques within Etching. Wondering what to do with all of that lovely, textured and patterned wrapping paper? Spend the day with us using these textures as printing plates to make expressive and individual prints.

Screenprinting Day - Fully Booked

Saturday 18th January 10am - 4:30pm - £75

A day in the workshop playing with colours and paper stencil screen printing. This is the best tonic for a grey winter day. This fabulous course is perfect for beginners or those wanting to refresh their skills. You will leave with an understanding of the basics of screen printing and an edition of colourful prints.

Linocuts - 4 week course

A great introductory course to linocutting. Learn all the basics from planning the best image, transferring the image to the block and cutting and printing. You will leave the course with two small editions of prints and a whole new set of skills.

A chance to make two hardback books over the course of the weekend. Learn how to bind single and multiple sections. And never buy a sketchbook ever again!

Printing to Abstraction Weekend

A fun weekend exploring abstract shapes, colour and composition. We will use collage techniques to get your ideas flowing then drypoint, collagraph and maybe a little monoprinting to produce a suite of abstract prints.

1 2 1 tuition

We offer 1 2 1 tuition for individuals who require a focused session on a particular printmaking technique. In recent years we have worked with trainee teachers, tutors working in further and higher education and members of the public who are unable to attend our scheduled courses.
1 2 1 sessions can be booked on any day convenient to you when we do not have a scheduled course running. Contact us for prices and to discuss this further or to book 1 2 1 tuition.

Beginners and Improvers course

An Introduction and Improver course all in one which covers Cardcuts, Drypoint, Etching, Linocutting and Monoprint. This very popular course is a great way to learn all the basics of these techniques. You will also become familiar with working in a print workshop and with using printmaking equipment and presses.
